Ari Youderian, MD Shoulder & Elbow, Fellowship Trained Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. Youderian is a board-certified, orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the care and treatment of fractures, arthritis, dislocations and complex injuries or tears of the shoulder, upper arm and elbow. Prior to SCOS, Dr. Youderian practiced for several years in Chicago at the Illinois Bone & Joint Institute.

Dr. Youderian is originally from New Jersey. He completed his undergraduate studies at Northwestern University with a degree in biomedical engineering. He graduated with Honors from University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine and then remained at the University of Illinois at Chicago for his orthopedic residency. Dr. Youderian then completed a fellowship in orthopedic shoulder and elbow surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Youderian’s expertise includes reverse and total shoulder replacement, fracture care and rotator cuff injuries, and complex reconstructions of the shoulder and elbow. He is skilled at minimally invasive, arthroscopic and open surgery. As one of only a few fellowship-trained shoulder and elbow orthopedic surgeons in the area, Dr. Youderian is on staff at Hoag Orthopedic Institute, Saddleback Memorial Hospitaland Mission Hospital.

Dr. Youderian believes patients should fully understand their condition, treatment options and expectations for recovery, as well as to have the best possible experience while under his care.
